this article is called "How do film makers manipulate our emotions with music". before reading this article i did not know that how important background music just was to the film making industry. i learned that its also not highly stressed or talked about in films. most directors dont approve of the background music. in one of my favorite movies, Pyscho directed by Alfred Hitchcook, he told his composer to not add any music to the famous shower scene in the movie. the composer however, decided to add it. Hitchcook of course, changed his mind. i did not know that.
i really liked reading this article. it was interesting to me and i knew most of the movies they were talking about.
the only question i have is why is background music so important? they pin pointed the sounds in movies but didn't really explain why.
