http://whatculture.com/film/5-ways-marvels-phase-2-will-change-filmmaking-forever-for-better-or-worse.php

this article is about 5 ways Marvels changed filmmaking forever. the Avengers in my opinion is a great movie! i watch it a lot and i like it a lot. according to this article, the Avengers always felt like the end of an era, but in fact it was so much more. so far it has already been an success. it has pulled in more than 1.5 billion$ in the box office. in the movie you can see that the director possess a talent for writing that adds texture and substance to fleshed out charatures. this may be way Avengers were so successful in the first place.
my thoughts while reading this article was that i found it interesting but not as interesting as the other one. i love this movie but the article made it seem less entertaining. i did nit enjoy how it was set up and what ideas were given. i still love the movie though.

this article is about the new movie Rise of the Guardians directed by Peter Ramsey. this new movie is a step up for dreamworks animation. both films created a new look then the original animation. in the movie, they take the mythological part very seriously. Peter Ramsey says, "i tell people thats the greatest film school anyone could offer. i mean, i had the best teachers." he tells us "nowadays you can do almost anything you want in live action." this movie is directed to kids rather then adults but there are a lot of suspenseful  scenes that keep you at the edge of your seat fit for other viewers as well. the ending of the movie has a happy yet dark side to it. witch makes this movie more enjoyable for most.
my reaction towards this article was that i found it very fun and interesting to read. I'm actually looking forward to this movie and reading about it made it more realistic. i also liked how this article was set up and how they included humor in it. it made it more enjoyable to read.

http://entertainment.time.com/2012/11/16/does-twilight-really-ruin-real-life-romance/
this article is about the new Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn. and the question is, does Twilight ruin real life romance? the idea of the dead vampers marrying an mortal girl spreads rumors around. The risk of choosing fictional romance over real life love is somehow worse than it used to be. maybe marriages aren't really the relationships affected by Bella and Edward. most people think of a relationships has more love and friendship. but the movie betrays a relationship based on something other than that. something far more intimate.
being a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, i don't think this is an actuate interpretation of Bella and Edward's relationship in the films. they truly love each other. and they waited till the got married to have any intercourse. Bella and edward known each other for more than 2 years before they got married. sure they got married soon, but they truly loved each other. and i don't think any relationship should be based off a movie.

http://www.animationmagazine.net/tv/stop-motion-casts-a-spell-on-spongebob/
this article is about how a talented team brought a 2D toon called Spongbob, to life in 3D. to achieve this, they are using a method called stop motion. this stop motion technique was used in movies such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Santa Clause is Coming to Town. Screen Novelties had also done some amazing stop motion on tv shows, such as Robot Chicken, Chowder, MAD, and the Marvelous Adventures of Flapjack. one of the teams biggest struggle was to make bikini bottom believable like it is in 2D.
my response while reading this article was that i found it very interesting. being a fan of spongbob, its cool how they are trying to animate things differently. spongbob has always been one of my favorite tv shows to watch when i was little. still is! while i was reading, they directors are very creative with the set witch i find really cool. for the flooring they used fruity pebbles to add color and texture and make it look real. but all together, i'm even excited to see this!

http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/01/showbiz/voice-actors/index.html  -
This article is about voice actors stepping into the spotlight. usually, voice actors are behind the scenes when the main characters are noticed more. for example, Frank Welkers name is never really heard of by some people. but most people will have heard or know of the name Scooby Doo. he played the voice for Fred along with 700 films and TV shows. his biggest known roles are Ray in Ghost busters, Fred in Scooby Doo, and Garfield. he also specialized in animals voices such as Abu in Aladdin. technology has changed over the time. they now have CGI animation. witch makes the show have much for detail and it gives the actor more opportunities to blend their voice to be more subtle.
my response while reading this article, i thought it was very interesting. i never knew such actors were in many different films. they don't really get noticed for their talent. the article itself was put together nicely i thought. but i thought there were to many quotes and not enough information. all together i enjoyed reading it.

2nd reponse to article

for my second blog i am going to write about http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/features/6-filmmaking-tips-from-joss-whedon.php. this blog is about a film maker named Joss Whedon, and he's giving tips about his career. i have learned some facts while reading this article. my first fact i learned is that he highly stresses to never give up on something. if you have a dream in mind, go for it. determination will get you very far in this field of work. something else i have learned while reading this article is that in order to be successful you need a good story. making movies is not an easy subject and you need a strong plot to move forward.
my opinions on reading this article: to be honest, i found this article to be very boring. there was to much facts and to little advice. i did not want to pay attention through it because it had repetition and it was repeating the theme of his tips over and over again. i really hate reading things like that. it makes you so less determined to finish it. my other opinion to this article is that they should have made it more funny so it could be interesting to read. there was little humor in this article and i think they should have showed more of it so the reader can be more concentrated in paying attention.
my question to this article is that why make it boring? you know a lot of people are interested in working in this field so make it interesting for them to read it and be more pumped in going into this career choice.

first article response

the first link i am going to blog about is http://www.animationmagazine.net/features/dawn-of-the-dead-pets/ witch is about the new Tim Burton animation film Frankenweenie. while reading this article i learned some interesting facts. such as, this is Tim Burtons first time putting this story on film. another fact i found intriguing was that his first released film was by disney in 1984 that credited him with getting started as a live action film maker. lastly, i learned that this story is actually based off of him and his pets.
my opinions based on reading this article: i thought this article was very interesting and fun to read. being a huge fan of Tim Burton myself, i learned many interesting facts about him and not just the movie witch i found cool. Tim Burton has always been one of my biggest inspirations. what i liked most about this article is that you were reading about Tim Burton as a director and a story teller. my other opinion to this article is that i found it very easy to read and understand and it would be information to others younger then me. and since this movie is for younger people, thats a very good strategy.
the only question i have for this article is that i think it should have been necessary to add some more information about the movie. there was a lot about the history of the idea of the movie and of the director but not about the movie itself.  but overall i enjoyed reading the article very much.

blog project 1

This is my first blog project. so i have no idea if i am even doing this right but oh well here it goes.
what i learned this week was basically how difficult being on a computer really is. i learned a lot of new terms and techniques that i didn't even knew existed. i found using illustrator quite easy and i was really surprised on how well my first animation character turned out! i learned that there is a lot of art in this class and thats what really enthused me to continue in this and strive to do my best. to be completely honest, i was really bummed that i was put in this class. but i decided to give it a shot and i'm so glad i did.
something i would wish to learn in the future is mastering 3D and really bring the characters to life.  something that has always inspired me is Tim Burton films. my art work is very similar. considering how i don't like to use color because kindergartners are better at coloring in the lines then me, and considering the imagination of each character and how dark and mysterious they are. i like to make a sort of creepy feel to my art work and i would like to show a lot of it in this class.
something that frustrated me was learning the new tools i was not used to using. also discovery how complicated making every line perfect really is. you need to be persistent and patient and unfortunately those are two traits i do not carry. but eventually i ended up being really good at it and i am the master, or should i say, mistress of the pen tool! the repetition is something i am not found of but it helped me learn how to use it extremely.
something that made me happy this week was when i was finally done with my animation! it looked so good and i was so proud of myself! my character is very unique and i plan on using more of it in future works. something that also made me happy was learning how much creativity and art was put in this class and those are two things i am really easy at! i really think this is going to be a great year for me.
so for my final paragraph i am suppose to put in a link of interest. what i found interesting and relatable to this class was Tim Burtons new film Frankenweenie. yes i know it is a children's movie but Tim Burton is my inspiration and the animation in this movie is awesome. he does almost all his works in black and white or very dark tones.
