http://www.raindance.org/the-revolution-wont-be-televised-4-reasons-the-future-of-filmmaking-is-online/
this article is titled "The revolution wont be televised"- 4 reasons why the future of filming is online" and the title is self explanatory. three things that i have learned while reading this article is that the audience is more intrigued if they connect to the film themselves. i also learned that the internet is actually more acceptable than anything else. lastly i learned that theres a sense of community with the director and the audience.
two opinions i have on this article is that it should have been more spread out and easy to read. also they should have added examples.
one question is that have they been trying this?

this article is titled "frankienweenie: sparking connections". this article is about the movie Frankienweenie brought to you by the awesome mind of Tim Burton. i learned about all the awesome connections in this movie and some that i never even realized! the main caricature has autism and has a lot of meaningful values.
two opinions that i have about this article is that they should have put in more of Tim Burtons insight and there should have been videos out into the article.
lastly the only question i have is why just did Tim Burton create this story?

this week i have learned more in after effects. i'm really starting to get a hang of how things work! i have also learned what its like to be a teacher. we had shadowers for almost everyday this week and its hard work to teach. you lose your voice and you get so tired of saying the same thing all over again. i give my teacher some props.
what i would love to learn more in the future is expanding my skills in after effects for my short film. i still need to learn more tricks.
my link of interest this week is the new hobbit movie that just came out in theaters today called The Desolation of Smaug. it looks so good and I'm so excited to it! if you haven't heard of it yet be sure to watch this trailer in the link provided. by the way, happy friday the 13th!

http://www.crafttruck.com/blog/5-things-to-learn-about-editing-from-dan-lebental/
this article is titled "5 things to learn about editing from Dan Lebental" and it explains itself. by reading this article i learned that timing is everything! i learned script writing is difficult work and should be taken very seriously and don't just write it once, but twice. lastly i learned if your attitude is good, so is your film.
two opinions i have reading this article are that i thought it gave very good facts and insight. also i feel like it was from a good view point from someone who really knows what they're talking about.
i have no questions towards this article.

http://www.raindance.org/10-common-elements-of-award-winning-screenplays/
this article is titled "10 common elements of award winning screenplays" and the title says it all. while reading this article i learned that super heroes are more interesting when the have two problems to solve and not just one big one. i learned the more suspense the film has, the better. and lastly i learned if i film has a strong opening its more likely to catch attention to the public more.
two opinions i have on this article is that they had a lot of technical words that i did not understand, they should have added definitions to them. and also they didn't have any examples.
my question for this article is what type of movie will these facts apply for the best?

this week i learned more about the program after Effects. i learned that it has so many options and you can do so much with it. I also learned about typography and how theres more to it then just fancy fonts and letters.
what i would like to learn more about in the future is more about the effects and advancing more into the program. its pretty fun and easy once you get a hang on things!
my link of interest this week is about doctor who. its starting to become a very popular show! recently there has been a 50th aniversary and it just made me love the show even more. it has cool animation and stories you'll love! if you haven't seen it yet, i'd advise to to check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poQPemXbAos
