this article is titled, "You think your film was a challenge?" this is about the hardest type of animation and its called, paint-on-glass animation. the most notable example of this animation is titled, the Old Man and the Sea. to do this the director, Bernard Lajoie, used oil paint on glass with every frame, modifies it under the camera and repeats. its basically more like stop motion but with paintings. that's more then 29,000 frames drawn. it took him about 6 to 8 months of building it from scratch.
i thought this was really cool and interesting! i watched the short on youtube and i really liked it. it was really good and i couldn't believe every second was hand drawn. i think more people should try this but i see why they don't. its very time worthy process but in the end its all worth it.
