this article is titled, "Motion Capture Filmmaking: Are Computer Generated Actors the Future of Hollywood?" this article is obviously about computer generated actors taking over the productions. they are more commonly used in films and very popular films in fact. Andy Serkis is best known has Gollum from The Lord of The Rings. motion capture filming is a technology witch renders human performances into highly detailed digital characters. the movie industry has always adapted to the changing times. incorporating costumes, props, sets, technology and imagination help bring the animation to life. Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) has brought in more viewers immensely. examples include the sharks in Jaws, and the dinosaurs for Jurassic Park. its really quite unusual how the actors become one of these computer generated characters. the actors where suits with sensory pins all over the body. you can get transformed to anything you wanted. for example, an animal, alien, demon or even a monster. but also i could be a passing fad as the article suggests. but Serkis says it is here to stay and is worth investing.
i really enjoyed this article. i do enjoy animated films form most. my favorite movies to watch are superhero movies witch have mostly CGI actors involved. its a cool technique to use in the filming world.
